Arman Tsarukyan Could Fight at the White House
The head of the UFC promotion, Dana White, has confirmed that Armenian-Russian fighter Arman Tsarukyan will serve as the backup fighter for the upcoming title fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje in lightweight.
"Arman will be the backup for the fight at the White House. If something happens with this match, Arman will step in and take his place. That's how it turned out," said the UFC chief in an interview with journalist Nina Drama.
Recall that the title fight between Topuria and Gaethje will take place on June 14 at the UFC event held at the White House. Ilia Topuria has recorded 17 wins in his mixed martial arts career and has never lost to his opponents. This will be the first title defense for the Spanish-Georgian fighter in the lightweight division.
American Justin Gaethje has achieved 27 wins and suffered five losses in his MMA career.
