Another Country Refuses to Participate in Victory Day Events in Moscow

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will not be present at the 81st anniversary events of Victory Day taking place in Moscow. Government sources have confirmed that the country's leader will not attend the May 9 celebrations.

The list of invitees presented by the Kremlin does not include leaders from Central Asian countries. Instead, participation is expected from the presidents of Laos and Abkhazia, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, the leader of Malaysia, and representatives from the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will also arrive in Moscow, where he is scheduled to meet with Vladimir Putin during a non-official dinner on the evening of May 8.
