Either Peace or Bombing, Says Trump
US President has stated that if agreements are upheld, the 'Epic Fury' operation will cease, otherwise he threatened devastating strikes.
The US President noted that if Iran agrees to comply with the established agreements, then the legendary 'Epic Fury' operation will end. If not, Iran can expect more devastating bombings. According to Axios, the US expects a response from Iran within the next 48 hours.
The preliminary document includes 14 points and includes the cessation of the US naval blockade of Iran, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, a complete halt to hostilities in Iran and Lebanon, the lifting of sanctions, and the unfreezing of Iranian assets. Among the points is Iran's commitment to refrain from seeking nuclear weapons and to stop efforts to create them.
“It is still too early” to discuss face-to-face peace negotiations between the US and Iran, Trump stated.
When asked whether he would travel to Pakistan for negotiations, Trump indicated that such a trip is currently unlikely: “I don’t think so, that’s very far. It’s very exhausting.”
