VIDEO: Families of Prisoners Ready to Go to Baku - Siranush Sahakyan

Siranush Sahakyan, the representative of Armenian prisoners' interests at the ECHR, has stated that a visit by relatives to Baku cannot be carried out without state guarantees and dialogue.

During the 'Voices of Armenia' conference organized by the Union of Journalists of Armenia, Sahakyan mentioned that many family members of Armenian military captives in Baku's prisons, despite existing threats and security risks, have the desire to go and meet their loved ones. However, organizing such a process under the current Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is impossible without dialogue and guarantees at the state level.

According to Sahakyan, the issue specifically pertains to visa issuance and safe border crossing. She emphasized that without state support, family members cannot reach Baku on their own means.
