The Consecration of the Church in the Designated Area of Kiran is Symbolic: Nikol Pashinyan

“The Church of the Holy Trinity in Kiran was built in 1880 and was closed in the 1920s after the establishment of Soviet rule; the dome was damaged and it was turned into a storage facility. In 2023, by the decision of the government, funds were allocated—64 million drams—for the restoration of the church, and today the consecration of the church took place,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in a video posted on his social media.

“It is located just 30-40 meters away from the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border and, of course, in the designated area of Kiran, and this is a very symbolic and important step,” Pashinyan added.
