Tragic Car Accident in Shirak Province

On May 2, at 18:01, the Shirak regional operational management center received a report that a traffic accident had occurred in the city of Artik, and assistance from rescuers was required. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that at an intersection leading from the city of Artik to the village of Nahapetavan, a GAZ brand vehicle had veered off the roadway and collided with a nearby wall, damaging approximately 14 square meters of the wall. The driver died at the scene.

Before the rescuers arrived, local forces had removed the driver's body from the vehicle. The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power supply and closed the valve of the gas cylinder.
