It’s Washington's Turn: Iran’s Foreign Ministry Issues Statement
The peace initiative has been handed over to Pakistan; now it’s Washington’s turn. This was announced by Iran’s Foreign Ministry.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has presented its plan to Pakistan as a mediator, with the aim of conclusively ending the forced war, and now the ball is in America’s court to choose a path of diplomacy or to continue down the road of confrontation,” stated Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi to foreign ambassadors in Tehran.
According to him, Tehran is prepared for both scenarios, including possible counterattacks, but remains committed to negotiations based on national interests. Simultaneously, Iran emphasizes its distrust towards Washington’s intentions.
Before meeting with the ambassadors, Gharibabadi held trilateral talks with the ambassadors of Russia and China.
