Papoyan Discusses the Situation in the Liquid Gas Market
The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, has informed that a large shipment of liquid gas will be transported to the republic in the coming days.
During a conversation with journalists on May 1, the Minister stated that videos circulating on social media evidence numerous trucks loaded with liquid gas that are currently in Georgia and heading towards Armenia. According to Gevorg Papoyan, these trucks were previously blocked on the Russian side due to snow.
The Minister also mentioned that some shipments have already arrived in the country, and the situation will stabilize with the expected new supplies in the coming days. “I cannot claim that the situation will be just like before, because the Iranian factor is, nonetheless, playing a role. Liquid gas is supplied to Armenia not only from Russia but also from Iran. However, overall, the situation will stabilize,” he stated.
