Hajiyev Discusses Relations Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Hikmet Hajiyev has stated that Azerbaijan has established friendly and fraternal relations with all its neighbors, including Armenia. Azerbaijan's presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev spoke at a university in Stepanakert before representatives of the diplomatic corps, addressing regional relations.

According to Azerbaijani media, he noted that his country aims for a peaceful future for both Azerbaijan and the entire region. Hajiyev emphasized that the primary priority of Baku's foreign policy concept is to maintain peaceful and fraternal ties with all neighboring countries. The presidential assistant highlighted that the previous state of war hindered the full realization of this goal.

“However, today I can say with satisfaction that Azerbaijan has friendly and fraternal relations with all its neighbors, including the Republic of Armenia,” the official added. Additionally, Hikmet Hajiyev referred to the visit of a delegation led by Mustafaev to Armenia, describing it as a historical event.
