Babken Tunyan Responds to Narek Karapetyan's Statement

'Narek Karapetyan stated today: “The cement factory was shutting down, we were building a metallurgical plant next to it.” The most accurate wording here is 'were' – in the past tense. This was stated by Babken Tunyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction in the National Assembly of Armenia.

'A rebar production plant was being constructed and was supposed to start producing in February-March of last year. During discussions in the National Assembly, it was said that the process was being delayed, and the introduction of tariffs to protect local producers should be postponed; we will deliver the product in September (2025). Ask someone, did they even finish constructing it? Are they producing rebar?))))

'And these people talk about constructing an oil refining plant in Armenia, a copper smelter, and creating 300,000 jobs in 5 years... I must note that during this time, in addition to the one operational factory, two more factories started to produce rebar. P.S. - And the “Hrazdan Cement” he is apparently talking about is a completely different story, the issues of which began back when their family members were in power.'
