Fan Who Abused Marcus Rashford Sentenced to Imprisonment

A fan of Real Oviedo, who racially abused Marcus Rashford, has been sentenced to nine months of imprisonment. This was reported by The Touchline publication on X social network.

The fan directed racist insults at the English player during a corner kick, an incident captured on camera. According to the source, the fan could avoid imprisonment by paying a fine of 2,000 euros, completing a mandatory anti-racism program, and receiving a three-year ban from attending football stadiums.

Marcus Rashford has been playing on loan at Barcelona since the summer of 2025, having moved from Manchester United.
