Will Zelensky Visit Armenia? We'll See, Says Ukraine's Ambassador
As the large-scale diplomatic marathon set to take place in Yerevan approaches in just a few days, the question of whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate in the upcoming events remains shrouded in secrecy.
Valerii Lobach, the Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Armenia, was questioned by a NEWS.am reporter about the potential visit of the state leader. He was unable to confirm or deny the information. When directly asked whether we would see Volodymyr Zelensky in Yerevan, the diplomat responded cautiously, saying, “I would be happy to see our president here at this event. So, we'll see.”
This uncertainty from the diplomatic mission appears quite intriguing, considering that the summit in the capital of Armenia will kick off in just a few days, scheduled to take place from May 3 to 5.
It is worth noting that just the day before, information began circulating actively in the Armenian media about Zelensky's potential visit to Yerevan. According to media reports, the Ukrainian leader may attend the European Political Community summit and the inaugural EU-Armenia joint summit.
