VIDEO: Aram Vardevanyan Addresses Arthur Avanesyan's Detention in Khandaz

Member of the "Strong Armenia" party and human rights defender Aram Vardevanyan has spoken about the political detention of Arthur Avanesyan and the absence of a "criminal case" against him. He also addressed the need for solidarity, amnesty, and the establishment of the rule of law.

Attorney Aram Vardevanyan stated: "The charges against Arthur Avanesyan and the initiated proceedings have no basis. The recording released after the wiretapping of Avanesyan is clearly an everyday conversation from several months ago, which could not serve as grounds for detention." He emphasized that political detention has been applied against Avanesyan.
