State to Provide Modular Shelters for Socially Disadvantaged Individuals or Families
In response to the urgent needs of families facing difficult life situations and housing insecurity, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has submitted a draft decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia for public discussion on the e-draft.am platform.
This announcement was made by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia. The proposal aims to provide temporary shelter in the form of modular houses for socially disadvantaged individuals or families without residential spaces or those living in unsuitable conditions.
The draft legislation seeks to legally define the term "modular shelter" as a temporary, quickly assembled, and transportable accommodation. It will also define the target group and selection criteria, establish a unified system for accepting applications, compiling data, and evaluating needs, and outline the procedures, timelines, and contractual bases for granting modular shelters.
The proposed regulation will enable rapid and efficient organization of temporary shelter provisions in situations requiring urgent responses.
