SATCM on Possible Suspension of ‘Jermuk’ Batch Sales in Russia

The Food Safety Inspection Body reports that, against the backdrop of information circulated in Russian media regarding the possible suspension of sales of certain batches of ‘Jermuk’ mineral water, it has not received any official communication from Russian authorities, and currently, steps are being taken to clarify the situation.

“According to information published in Russian and Armenian media, the Russian state marking system ‘Honest Sign’ has blocked the sale of ‘Jermuk’ brand batches produced by ‘Jermuk Group’ LLC on February 17 and March 5, 2026. According to reports, the basis for this suspension is a letter from the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare of the Russian Federation (Rospotrebnadzor) regarding ‘violations of mandatory standards’.

The Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia has not yet received any official information—such as a letter—on the matter from the relevant Russian authorities, including Rospotrebnadzor or Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia).

Measures are being taken to clarify the situation and to undertake appropriate actions. Results will be published,” the statement reads.
