Russia Imposes New Ban on 'Jermuk' Mineral Water Sales
The Russian state marking system 'Honest Sign' has suspended the sale of batches of 'Jermuk' mineral water in offline and online stores. According to Revas Yusupov, the deputy director general of the Center for the Development of Prospective Technologies (marking operator), 338,000 bottles are currently blocked until the completion of an inspection.
The suspension was prompted by a letter from 'Rospotrebnadzor', in which the agency highlighted the necessity of taking immediate measures to prevent potential harm to the lives and health of Russian citizens. The reason for the ban has been cited as violations of 'mandatory requirements'. The products with production dates of February 17, 2026, and March 5, 2026, are now under restriction. As Yusupov noted, 'it will not be available to consumers until the inspection is completed.'
