Possible Reasons for King Charles III's Visit to the USA
King Charles III of the United Kingdom's visit to Washington may be related to discussions on the terms of a peace agreement between the USA and Iran, as well as the cessation of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. This perspective was shared by Victoria Juravlyova, who serves as the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Institute of the USA and Canada Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and heads the Center for North American Studies.
On Monday, Charles III arrived in the United States, and his speech before Congress is scheduled for Tuesday. This will be the first address by a member of the British royal family to the American legislative body since 1991. Previously, in 1991, Queen Elizabeth II became the first British monarch to speak before Congress.
According to the expert, the visit is likely connected to the ongoing war in the Middle East. 'Probably, Britain will try to discuss certain pathways out of that conflict, to examine the provisions of a peace agreement,' she noted.
