Video: The issue of initiating criminal proceedings against Daniel Ioannissian is being considered - Anna Hakobyan
Anna Hakobyan, the executive director of the 'My Step' charity foundation, held a press conference.
She addressed the demand from the 'Independent Observer' alliance to hold her administratively accountable. According to Hakobyan, she has instructed her legal team to investigate the possibility of submitting a report to initiate criminal proceedings against Daniel Ioannissian, and to explore the option of filing a lawsuit against the 'Independent Observer' alliance for damages to the business reputation and credibility of the 'My Step' foundation.
She stated that her image has been associated with the ruling political force, which she claims is a "violation of constitutional rights." In response to a question regarding whether receiving charity from the 'My Step' foundation would associate her with government misconduct such as bribery, she replied, "You are violating my constitutional right. Go ask the people if I am associated or not."
It is noteworthy that Daniel Ioannissian, a representative of the 'Independent Observer' alliance, announced: "We are appealing to the court, requesting that the head of the executive body of the 'My Step' foundation, Anna Hakobyan, be held administratively accountable on 15 charges." He mentioned that the alliance has discovered alleged violations in the recent activities of the 'My Step' foundation.
"The alliance is also submitting a request to the Corruption Prevention Commission, demanding a legal assessment of the funding for the concerts held in April in Gyumri and Yerevan. The alliance considers the concerts on April 19 in Gyumri and April 23 in Yerevan as a propaganda event for the ruling party. Their funding must comply with the law on political parties. However, the financing of these concerts does not fall within the restrictions of that law. We are requesting a legal assessment from the Corruption Prevention Commission on this matter," Ioannissian stated.
