A New Sports School Named After Malxas and Roman Amoyan to be Built in Alagyaz
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a new sports school named after Greco-Roman wrestlers Malxas and Roman Amoyan in the Alagyaz community of Aragatsotn province. This was reported by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The sports school is being built under the coordination of the Urban Development Committee. After the project presentation, Prime Minister Pashinyan and Malxas and Roman Amoyan signed a message for future generations, which will be placed at the foundations of the sports school.
The Prime Minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the groundbreaking of the sports school and expressed hope that it will be operational within the specified timeframe. Addressing Malxas and Roman Amoyan, Nikol Pashinyan noted that this is the Republic of Armenia's tribute to their sporting achievements and services.
The building will consist of two parts: a hall with seating for about 100 spectators and a two-story service area. The first floor will house an entrance hall, locker rooms, a swimming pool, a sauna, as well as rooms for a doctor and coaches, restrooms, and a storage area. The second floor will include a gym for physical training and exercise equipment, along with administrative offices.
The sports school will have a basement where table tennis training can be held. The structure will also include ramps and elevators for accessibility for persons with disabilities. An unfinished building of the existing kindergarten will be dismantled. In addition to the sports school building, a sewage treatment plant and a parking lot for buses will be located in the area.
