Israeli Defense Minister Warns Hezbollah Leader

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has announced that Hezbollah leader Nayim Qassem is “playing with fire.” During a meeting with UN envoy Janine Hennis-Plasschaert in Lebanon, Israel Katz stated that Hezbollah's Secretary-General Nayim Qassem is “playing with fire,” and that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun is jeopardizing the future of the state.

The minister emphasized that Israel will not tolerate a situation where shelling continues under ceasefire conditions. According to him, there cannot be an effective ceasefire as long as Israeli forces and Galilee settlements remain under fire. Katz warned of potential consequences, saying, “Nayim Qassem is playing with fire, and this fire will consume Hezbollah and all of Lebanon. If the Lebanese government continues to protect Hezbollah, Lebanese mothers will drown in flames.”
