10,000 Dram Promised for Participation in 'Strong Armenia' Gathering: Investigative Committee
The Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee has commenced public criminal prosecution against four family members during the preliminary investigation of a criminal case for allegedly incentivizing a group of individuals to participate in the 'Strong Armenia' alliance's gathering.
During the preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that A.Kh., M.Kh., N.Kh., and K.Kh. sought to secure the participation of a larger number of individuals in the gathering organized by the 'Strong Armenia' alliance on April 11, 2026, by promising to provide each participant, including minors, with 10,000 drams after attending.
On April 11, A.Kh. arranged for the transportation of a group of individuals from the village of P’k’hork Mantash in the Shirak region to Yerevan using a taxi service, which had been rented. After participating in the gathering organized by the 'Strong Armenia' party, they returned to P’k’hork Mantash and received the promised amounts of 10,000 drams for their participation.
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.Kh., M.Kh., N.Kh., and K.Kh. under Part 2 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code (financially incentivizing participation in a gathering). A.Kh. has been placed under house arrest and subjected to a travel ban, while M.Kh. and N.Kh. are under administrative supervision and subject to a travel ban. The minor K.Kh. is under educational supervision. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
