Armenia Among the Safest Countries in the World, Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) police and rescue service personnel provided emergency services during the events dedicated to Citizen's Day. The community and criminal police, patrol service, and police guard carried out measures aimed at maintaining public order and ensuring public safety, while MIA rescue service employees were on duty.
During the events attended by tens of thousands of citizens, including numerous tourists, no serious incidents or accidents were reported, thanks in part to the service of police and rescue personnel.
Measures to maintain public order and ensure public safety were also implemented on April 23 during the Torch March and on April 24 at Tsitsernakaberd, where, again, no serious incidents or accidents occurred.
Armenia is considered one of the safest countries in the world, as evidenced by studies conducted by respected international organizations using various indices. These studies also take into account incidents reported during large-scale events.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue its work aimed at the continuous improvement of its subordinate services, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the safety of our citizens and tourists.
