Zelensky Proposes Peace Talks Between Ukraine and Russia to Be Held in Azerbaijan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed that peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia take place in Azerbaijan. He made this announcement during a press conference with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev, which was broadcast by the Ukrainian president's office.

“I shared with the president of Azerbaijan that we are ready for trilateral negotiations. We have had such negotiations in Turkey and with our American partners in Switzerland. We are ready for similar talks in Azerbaijan,” emphasized Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy also mentioned that Ukraine and Azerbaijan have signed six agreements in the areas of security and trade increase.

Additionally, the Ukrainian leader arrived in Baku following an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where, he stated, he had a “very productive” meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. Zelenskyy noted that the discussions focused on security cooperation, energy collaboration, and food security.
