Iran's Foreign Ministry Issues Statement
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated in Islamabad that Tehran has no doubts about Pakistan's intentions to act as a mediator in the negotiations between Iran and the United States. During discussions with Pakistani leadership in Islamabad, Araqchi emphasized that they have not sought to replace Pakistan in that role.
As reported by Al Hadath television, during a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the minister reaffirmed Tehran's confidence in Pakistan's mediating mission being carried out in the context of dialogue with the United States. Araqchi added that Iran has not approached any other party for mediation services.
It is worth noting that during a meeting with the Commander of the Pakistani Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Abbas Araqchi expressed the Iranian side's views and concerns regarding the conclusion of the war with the United States and Israel.
