Due to the protests that took place in Iran last winter, eight women who were arrested will no longer face the death penalty.

The Iranian authorities have decided not to carry out the death sentences for these eight women, who were detained during the protests last winter. This information was shared by U.S. President Donald Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“Great news. I was just informed that the eight women protesters who were to be executed tonight in Iran will no longer be executed,” the American leader noted.

According to the data published by Trump, four of the protesters will be released immediately, while the other four will face one month of imprisonment. The U.S. President thanked the Iranian authorities, adding that they have responded to his request.
