U.S. Special Representative Witkoff: Armenian Prime Minister and Azerbaijani President Are Good Friends
The U.S. President's Special Representative, Steve Witkoff, has stated that the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan was finalized in six weeks. During the Real Estate Impact annual conference held at the University of Miami, Witkoff remarked that they concluded the Armenia-Azerbaijan deal in a matter of six weeks, despite both sides having been in conflict for 37 years.
“Azerbaijan and Armenia, on which we worked on behalf of the President, was the easiest deal because the New York Times was unaware of it. Therefore, they could not say anything bad about what we had done. We finalized this agreement in six weeks. They had been at war for 37 years, and now the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan, President Aliyev, are good friends—united by President Trump,” Witkoff said.
