I Really Want It Not to Repeat Itself: Serzh Sargsyan

I really want it not to repeat itself, Serzh Sargsyan said to reporters in response to a question about whether the scenario from the 2021 elections will repeat in the upcoming elections.

In addressing whether a repeat of the previous election situation is possible, Sargsyan emphasized his strong desire to avoid such an outcome.

The journalists also requested his comments on the current government's policy aimed at erasing the memory of the Armenian Genocide. According to the third president, such a course of action cannot be described with a single term.

“It is treason to the nation,” he stressed.

Regarding the destruction of the Mother Cathedral in Stepanakert by Azerbaijanis, Sargsyan expressed the opinion that the current authorities in Armenia have not taken any measures to prevent vandalism and will not do so.

It should be noted that it was previously decided at the Republican Party's Executive Body meeting that the Republican Party would not directly participate in the elections.
