Minister of Internal Affairs on Cases of License Suspension

In terms of traffic safety, a clear indicator of persistent and consistent efforts is the suspension of driving licenses for 5,435 individuals last year, of whom 90.1 percent were due to driving under the influence. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, during a session of the National Assembly.

According to her, despite various political speculations, the outcome of this administration is that 95 lives have been saved on the roads of Armenia.

From the perspective of the criminal police, the minister noted that throughout the year, incidents revealing a loss of 25 billion drams to the state and communities were recorded, with criminal proceedings initiated and funds also recovered.
