Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing the issue of the import of Azerbaijani petroleum products, noted that this marks the definitive end of the eight-year phase of dismantling monopoly in the market. In response to citizens' questions about the duration of the process, the head of government clarified, “The answer is very simple. Because we are not just taking action, we are literally fighting against the mafia, which sometimes has different branches in different places.”

Pashinyan also emphasized that the ongoing crisis around the Strait of Hormuz would have had a more significant impact on Armenia's economy and population in terms of both prices and supply if it were not for the historic opening of the Azerbaijani railway.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted that despite the complex international situation, the reopening of regional communications and the realization of the TRIPP project remain a priority for the governments of Armenia, the USA, and Azerbaijan.
