Russia's Foreign Ministry Issues Statement on Armenia and Azerbaijan

During the process of evacuating Russian citizens from Iranian territory, Yerevan and Baku have provided significant assistance. This was stated by Alexey Klimov, head of the consular department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS.

The diplomat clarified that Baku has allowed Russians to use the "Astara" border checkpoint, which has been closed for individual crossings since 2020. This opportunity was granted based on a preliminary request submitted by the Russian embassy in Tehran.
