I Am an Economist, I Have a Doctorate: Samvel Karapetyan

The trial of Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, has commenced at the Anti-Corruption Court.

At the start of the session, Karapetyan stated his intention to renounce his citizenship of Russia and Cyprus. "I am an economist, I have a doctorate, and besides my Armenian citizenship, I also hold citizenship from the Russian Federation and Cyprus. I have not been convicted before, and I work as the president of the 'Strong Armenia' party, as well as the president of 'Tashir Group'. Since we are confident in our victory, we have begun the process of renouncing our citizenship of Russia and Cyprus," said Karapetyan.
