The President of the United States has stated that he likes Hungary's newly elected Prime Minister Peter Marki-Zay.

"I think the new Prime Minister will do his duties well; he is a good man," Trump said.

Commenting on the electoral processes, Trump expressed uncertainty about whether his personal visit to Hungary would have any significance for Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's campaign efforts. At the same time, he admitted that Orbán was losing ground in the electoral race.
