Defendant's Statement in the Case of the Murder of Parakar Mayor Valodya Grigoryan

The court hearing in the case of the murder of Parakar Mayor Valodya Grigoryan is underway, reports ArmLur. Recall that on September 23, 2026, Valodya Grigoryan was killed near his newly built house in Mrazaavan. Alongside him, criminal police officer Karen Abrahamyan was also murdered.

Currently, the defendants in the case are Narek Ohanian and Gevorg Harutyunyan. The prosecutor has requested a three-month extension of the detention of those charged in the murder case of Valodya Grigoryan. The judge has accepted the prosecutor's request and extended the detention for an additional three months.

During the hearing, defendant Narek Ohanian stated that he had no issues with Grigoryan. “When did I ever have a problem with Valodya? When did I speak?” Narek Ohanian said.
