U.S. President Donald Trump published an article on the Truth Social network discussing a potential maritime blockade against Iran. According to JustTheNews, Washington may take measures to completely halt Iranian oil exports. This move is viewed as an economic pressure tool that would significantly reduce Tehran's revenues while avoiding direct military confrontation.

A new phase of discussions follows American-Iranian negotiations that took place in Islamabad, which yielded no significant outcomes. The parties discussed issues related to the nuclear program, sanctions, the security of the Strait of Hormuz, and conflict resolution.

Although Iranian Press TV announced after the negotiations that Tehran had put forth 'reasonable proposals,' Washington's position remains firm. It has been reported that the possible basis for any agreement could rest on a previously proposed 10-point program by Iran.
