Iran's Parliament Speaker Responds to Trump's Threats

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohamad-Bagher Qalibaf has addressed the recent statements and threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, presenting Tehran's stance on its relations with Washington.

The head of Iran's legislative body emphasized that the Islamic Republic has adopted a strategy of mirror actions. According to the official, the Iranian side's response will be directly contingent upon the behavior adopted by the United States.

Qalibaf declared that if the American side opts for escalation or military actions, Iran will respond with similar measures. At the same time, the speaker of parliament stressed that in the case of rational approaches and dialogue, Tehran is ready to adhere exclusively to constructive principles and mutual logic.

Speaking about the threats from the White House, Iran's Parliament Speaker noted that such rhetoric cannot influence the internal stability of the country or the will of its people. He added that attempts to exert pressure will not serve their purpose and will not change Iran's strategic direction.
