Zelensky's Proposal to the Russian Side

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has put forward an initiative to maintain the ceasefire regime even after the Easter holidays. In an evening video address, the head of state announced that the relevant proposal has already been officially conveyed to the Russian side with the aim of stabilizing the situation in the conflict zone.

The president stated that the Ukrainian side is ready to adopt a mirrored approach. This means that the Ukrainian armed forces will refrain from retaliatory strikes and active operations only if no attacks or shelling are registered from the Russian Federation.

Zelensky emphasized that the response to this proposal will be a clear signal to the international community, particularly to the United States, indicating the genuine intentions of the parties and the degree of readiness for peace.
