Video: Lars is Closed, Severe Blizzard at Vardenyats Pass

The Rescue Service has announced that the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for all types of vehicles due to severe blizzard conditions. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Service and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
