Trump on the Clearing of the Hormuz Strait
US President Donald Trump has announced that the process of clearing or demining the Hormuz Strait has begun, which he claims is being carried out as a "service to the nations of the world." He noted that this action concerns several countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and others.
At the same time, Trump has harshly criticized the media, insisting that they present a disconnected picture from reality and misinterpret the situation regarding Iran. According to him, the press tries to create the impression that Tehran is gaining the upper hand, while he claims that Iran has suffered heavy losses.
According to the US President, Iran's naval and air capabilities have been nearly destroyed, air defense systems have been taken out of service, and missile and drone production infrastructures have been seriously damaged or destroyed. He also stated that the only remaining threat from Iran could be the factor of naval mines, but simultaneously asserted that Iranian vessels laying mines have also been destroyed.
Trump also drew attention to the issue of energy transportation, noting that empty oil tankers from various countries are heading to the United States to load oil. At the end of his statement, he expressed gratitude for the attention given to this matter. These statements reflect Trump's position and were presented without additional independent verification.
