Negotiations Officially Begin, Trump
Negotiations between representatives of the United States and Iran have officially begun in Islamabad, Pakistan. This was reported by a journalist from NewsNation, citing a statement from U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump noted that it will soon become clear whether Iran is showing an honest stance during the negotiations. According to him, an assessment will be given in a short period of time.
The negotiations are taking place under the mediation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The U.S. delegation is led by Vice President JD Vance, with special representative Steve Wittekopf and presidential family member Jared Kushner also included in the group.
On the Iranian side, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf are participating.
