Video: Mirzoyan on Armenian prisoners held in Baku

One of the important steps to strengthen the established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is the release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a joint press conference with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

“Unfortunately, not all issues have been resolved. There are still prisoners and detained individuals in Baku, and our position remains the same: these people must be released as soon as possible. We are confident that their release will only help to strengthen the established peace,” said Mirzoyan.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna noted that the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is a step of historical significance, but not all problems can be solved in a short time. “This process of peace is real and ongoing. It is shaping a future for the Armenian people. Peace is the basis for all further steps toward prosperity, economic development, and securing fundamental freedoms,” he stated.
