Iran's Parliamentary Speaker States Conditions for Negotiations
Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf has announced that negotiations with Washington are only possible if the U.S. fully honors its commitments.
According to him, previous experiences have demonstrated that Iran must exhibit complete distrust towards the opposing party. Qalibaf pointed out that the retreat of the United States from its former positions and the acceptance of the framework of the ten-point plan proposed by Iran can be seen as significant achievements.
At the same time, he emphasized that this move does not yet represent comprehensive progress and that the process requires concrete actions. In Qalibaf's assessment, only if the U.S. halts its violations of commitments can the prospect of bilateral negotiations be discussed.
