Snow, Rain, and Hail Expected: Weather Forecast for the Coming Days

Precipitation is expected in various regions of the Republic of Armenia from April 9 to 13. It is noted that in mountainous and certain pre-mountainous areas, precipitation will be in the form of snow and wet snow on April 9-10 and April 12-13, while in the valleys, it will be rain. Isolated areas may experience thunderstorms. This information is provided by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On April 9-10, stronger winds with speeds of 24-27 m/s are expected in some areas, along with blizzards, low horizontal visibility, and ice on the roads in mountainous regions. The air temperature during the day on April 9 and at night on April 10 will decrease by 5-7 degrees.

In Yerevan, there will be occasional rain from April 9 to 13, with possible thunderstorms. Wind speeds of 14-18 m/s are expected on April 9-10.

Due to the incursion of a cold front from the northwest, snow is expected in Shirak, Gegharkunik, Lori, the pre-mountain areas of Tavush, and the mountainous regions of Kotayk, Aragatsotn, and Vayots Dzor. During these days, a snow cover increase of 20-50 cm is predicted in the mentioned areas, along with blizzards, low horizontal visibility, and ice on the roads.
