New Details Emerge About David Minasian's Health Condition

Today, the Human Rights Defender announced that he has proposed discussing the application of an alternative measure of restraint for 18-year-old David Minasian. “The decision regarding detention is primarily made by the court; I cannot say that the illness is definitively compatible or incompatible with detention, but I can specifically emphasize that given the documents regarding the individual's health, issues related to the right to education, and so on, I myself have also proposed to discuss alternative measures of restraint,” he stated.

Earlier, it was reported that David Minasian was transferred from the “Armenavir” Detention Facility to the “Abovyan” Detention Facility to organize his education; however, his health condition deteriorated sharply on the way. David was then moved to “Abovyan” Medical Center and from there to the “Nairi” medical center.
