Compensation for Canceled Flights: Who Will Receive It
The Armenian government will provide compensation of up to 250,000 AMD to citizens whose direct or transit flights to Armenia have been canceled due to military actions in the Middle East. This compensation will be available to individuals who have purchased new airline tickets or made paid changes to their tickets in order to return to Armenia.
The corresponding decision states that if a citizen acquires a new airline ticket for less than 250,000 AMD, the compensation will be granted based on the actual amount paid. If the airline has provided compensation that is less than 250,000 AMD for the canceled flight, the difference between 250,000 AMD and the compensation provided by the airline will be reimbursed.
The mechanism for providing compensation and additional details will be established in the coming days.
