Artemis 2 Crew Shares About the 'Greatest Gift'

The four astronauts of the Orion spacecraft have completed their mission orbiting the Moon. They are set to land near the coast of San Diego at midnight on Friday.

On Wednesday, the crew of Artemis 2 held a press conference in space. During the conversation with reporters, mission pilot Victor Glover said, “There are so many pictures, so many stories, and oh my God, I haven’t even begun to process what we have been through. We still have two days left, and the flight through the atmosphere with a fireball will also be an unforgettable experience.”

According to Glover, the “greatest gift” of the mission was witnessing the eclipse from the far side of the Moon. Weizmer named the lunar crater after his deceased wife, Carol.

The astronauts also noted that one of the greatest values during the mission was team unity. They stated that such flights require risk and sacrifice, but the experience gained justifies everything.
