"Are there economists at the investigative level who can explain the mathematics of saying ‘We’re about to arrest your guy, we’re about to arrest your mother, we’re about to arrest your mistress?’" said Hovik Aghazaryan during a meeting of the Economic Affairs Committee.

“All businesses around the world want to reduce their tax base. Right now the state is strong in this regard, and therefore the state is winning. When the state isn’t strong, they should learn from these people how they exploit those gaps,” Aghazaryan added.

It is worth mentioning that a draft law amending the customs regulation law is currently under discussion. According to the main presenter, the Minister of Finance, Eduard Hakobyan, “this draft law is one of the key reforms that clarifies the rules of the game for businesses, and here we are bringing the entire customs inspection process closer to tax inspections.”
