Three of the Ten Points for Ceasefire with the USA Have Already Been Violated, Says Iranian Parliament Speaker
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has announced that three out of the ten points for establishing a ceasefire with the USA have already been violated, making negotiations for peace, in his view, pointless.
According to him, the first point proposed by Iran was related to establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon, which has been violated by Israel. The second point demands that Iran's airspace not be violated under any circumstances, a stipulation that, as Qalibaf noted, has already occurred. The third point requires the respect of Iran's right to enrich uranium, yet the USA continues to reject this demand.
“In this situation, neither the maintenance of a ceasefire nor peace negotiations have any meaning,” he stated.
Additionally, it is noted that talks between Iranian and American officials are scheduled to take place in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
