Burglars Steal Gold and $10,000 from House, Reports Ministry of Internal Affairs
The first report regarding a residential burglary was received by the Criminal Police Department of the Armavir Regional Division on the night of November 16 of last year. It was reported that after returning from a wedding, homeowners found that gold jewelry and $10,000 had been stolen through an entrance made from a window. A criminal case was initiated in connection with the incident, according to the police.
On the night of March 22, two more reports of residential burglary came in from two other residents of the same village. In both instances, taking advantage of the homeowners' absence, the burglars opened a European-style window and stole either money or gold jewelry.
The circle of suspects narrowed, and the operational-search measures of the Armavir Criminal Police reached a logical conclusion. On April 6, a 30-year-old man from the village along with his companion were arrested on suspicion of committing the aforementioned burglaries and were taken to the police department.
The 30-year-old man has been placed in a detention center. Measures are being taken to recover the stolen property from all three incidents. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the cases.
