Papikyan Makes Important Statement Regarding the Army

Today, the "Defender of the Homeland" program has become an essential hub for the transforming army. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan.

“In our path to building a professional army, we have implemented the "Defender of the Homeland" program, which today is a crucial cornerstone of the transforming army. Thousands of young people are becoming beneficiaries of the program and are vital components of a professional army. They have the opportunity to be certified, receive high salaries, and support their families and the state. Currently, their number stands at 5,319. As a side note, at the end of 2025, their number was about 4,220,” said Armenia's Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan.
