New Image of Earth from Space
NASA has unveiled a completely new image of Earth taken from space during the "Artemis-2" mission. The astronauts, who are currently en route to the Moon, captured the planet in a fully illuminated state.
The agency's publication notes that the image showcases Earth's blue and brown hues, as well as the green northern lights illuminating the atmosphere. The photo presents a high-definition view of the planet from space. The last complete image of this kind was released by NASA in 2015.
This new image allows for comparisons of the planet's appearance across different time periods and observations of atmospheric phenomena. The "Artemis-2" mission is a crucial phase of NASA's program, which aims to return humans to the Moon and further explore it.
